About Our Rescue Dogs for Adoption

At rescue dogs for adoption our dogs are in small foster home rescues in Bulgaria NOT living in public shelters. We are committed to ensuring their health and well-being before they make their way to their new homes in the U.K. and our centre has been rehoming dogs for the last 16 years in Bulgaria. Most of the dogs adoptions have found homes in the U.K and Europe. Here’s what you can expect when you adopt from us:

Health, Socialisation and Safety First

  • Fully Vaccinated and Neutered: Every dog is fully vaccinated and neutered prior to adoption, as required by law. This helps to ensure that they are healthy and ready for their new homes.

  • Preventative Care: Our dogs receive regular flea, tick, and worming treatments to keep them in good health and free from common parasites.

  • Comprehensive Health Checks: Without exception, we provide blood testing for all of our dogs. This testing checks for tick-borne diseases, heartworm and optional a Canine Brucellosis blood check to ensure they are disease-free and healthy. If a dog is old enough to be castrated or spayed this will also be done pre arrival.

Lifetime Support and Backup

We are committed to supporting our adopters and their new pets throughout their lives. We provide lifetime support and rescue backup, ensuring that you and your dog have access to advice, resources, and help whenever you need it.

Adoption Fees

Our U.K. adoption fee starts at £700, depending on the dog. This fee covers all veterinary costs, documentation, customs fees, and transportation to the U.K. For larger dogs, an additional fee may apply to cover the cost of a double crate, which is required by Welfare Standards in both the U.K. and Bulgaria.

When you adopt a dog from us, you’ll receive a complete profile, including blood tests to ensure your new companion is healthy. (In the U.K., the cost of these tests averages around £240, with castration costing an additional £300+.) The fee also includes the dog’s passport, vaccinations, microchip, and transport.

When you consider all the services provided, adopting a rescue dog is actually great value – and a wonderful way to welcome a loving companion into your home.

Why Adopt a Rescue Dog from Bulgaria and us?

At rescue dogs for adoption, we believe that dogs deserve to live in loving homes, not shelters. That's why all our dogs are placed in homes with people and other dogs, where they receive proper care and socialisation. Before being offered for adoption, we spend time testing them in a home environment to ensure they are ready for their new family.

Adopting a rescue dog from Bulgaria is not only a heartwarming way to welcome a new companion into your life, but it’s also great value. If you were to pay for all the tests, vaccines, and procedures these dogs undergo in the UK, the costs would be much higher than our adoption fee.

By choosing to adopt from us, you're not only gaining a loving companion, but you're also helping other dogs in Bulgaria. Your support directly contributes to the care, feeding, and preparation of these dogs as they await their own chance for a forever home
